About the Trainer

Kaye Scott

Kaye Scott is the principal of Right Start Dog Training. She has been training dogs for over twenty years and has actively competed in agility and obedience with her own dogs. She has been an instructor for nearly twenty years.

She is a current member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, she is also on their team of Instructor Assessors who assess applicants applying for membership of the Association as well as a member of the Association's committee. She is also responsible for their PR and marketing.

She is also an Affiliate Member of the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers, having attended a course under their auspices. As well as successfully completing both stage one and two of their Instructor's Correspondence Course covering numerous topics such as dog training theory for pet and obedience handlers, progression training for the individual and the class, canine health and care and class planning, amongst others.

She is an Associate Member of the Animal Care College, having passed their Advanced Canine Psychology course with distinction.

She is currently working towards the Kennel Club Accreditation Scheme for Instructors in Dog Training and Canine Behaviour.

As well as instructing with Right Start Dog Training, Kaye is Chair, Treasurer and one of the Senior Instructors of the Sevenoaks and District Dog Training Society, a Kennel Club registered membership club which has been training dogs for well over forty years.

Kaye also runs puppy development, training and socialisation seminars /workshops for vets and veterinary nurses at their practices. If you would like full details please contact Kaye
