Right Start offers everything Puppy!
Kaye specialises in puppy development and learning and is well placed to be able to help with all your puppy requirements from choosing the right breed for your lifestyle, preparing for your puppy's arrival, 'Welcome Home' sessions, puppy lifeskills courses and puppy pop-in sessions. Everything to set you and your puppy off on the right track and to help build that special relationship between the pup and their new family.
During Covid, online training proved to be extremely beneficial to our clients and their puppies, so much so that we will be continuing to offer these services going forward as the benefits to the puppies have been very evident. We know so much more now about how a puppy develops and learns and a hall environment for a very young puppy (under 14 weeks) with little or no experience of the outside world is not the right place for them, in what is a very vulnerable stage in their development.
The teaching is one to one and takes place either online so you can learn and train in the comfort and safety of your home or face to face at home sessions if preferred or you do not have WiFi access.
Choosing the right breed for your lifestyle and do you decide on a puppy or a rescue dog. Both have their advantages and disadvantages and both are a big commitment. If you decide on a puppy where do you go to look for a reputable breeder and what questions must you ask before you decide. This session will be held either online via Zoom or face to face and will help to answer lots of questions you might have before you decide.
Once you have decided on your breed and breeder then the next most important stage is preparing to bring your puppy home. How do you prepare and what do you need to do and buy! The session will last for one hour and is delivered either online via Zoom or face to face and will be supported by email handouts and resources for the family to read and consider together.
So all your research and preparation has been done and now pup is home! It’s great fun and very rewarding but there will be typical puppy behaviours that may be encountered! How do you deal with this in the right way or better still what management should you be putting in place to avoid them to help build that special enriched relationship between pup and their new family! The session will last for one hour and is delivered either online via Zoom or face to face and will be supported by email handouts and resources for the family to read and consider together.
This very important one to one course will guide you though the pups early development in the right way. It will teach the pup life skills that will help to form the wonderful bond and relationship with us, their human family whilst teaching them how to cope with life in general. These courses are run on a one to one basis online via Zoom - so are entirely specific to each family and can fit into your family timetable!
Sometimes puppy guardians need that little bit of extra help with specific issues. The online ‘Puppy Pop-In’ sessions are ideal to meet those needs. Perhaps you just need a little extra one to one guidance on housetraining, playbiting, separation issues, how to handle those first walks, socialisation / habituation, jumping up. Basically anything puppy. Then this 30min session is for you! Online via Zoom.
At Right Start Dog Training Services we believe that positive training and play builds a great enriched relationship between dog and their guardians as well as promoting health and wellbeing for both! A trained dog is welcome in society and a joy to have around the home! Training should be fun for both you and your dog and at Right Start we are passionate about helping you build that special enriched relationship!
